How it works

Turn the building into a useful workspace

Guided setup creates the block, unit, and permission structure first, so the committee starts with a workspace shaped around its building.

Control and continuity

Keep the context without giving everyone the same access

Shared records make the work easier to follow, while roles and permissions keep sensitive areas appropriately controlled.

Access that follows responsibility

Each workspace is isolated, while roles, permissions, and record ownership control access to sensitive information.

Questions before starting

What resident committees usually want to know

Who is Our Stairwell designed for?

Our Stairwell is for resident management companies, self-managed owners’ groups, including Scottish owners’ associations, and building-based residents’ associations coordinating shared property. Relevant workflows depend on the building’s country and management arrangement.

Is this for any residents’ association?

Our Stairwell focuses on resident-led management of shared buildings. General neighbourhood campaigns, social-landlord operations and professional management of client portfolios are outside its current scope. Residents set up and run the workspace, and can still hire outside advisers or contractors to help with their building.

What can residents see?

Access depends on each person’s unit, role, and permissions. Own-ledger access can be kept separate from full finance access, while committee and sensitive building records remain controlled.

What is included in the 30-day trial?

The trial includes the current product features and uses the same guided setup as a subscribed workspace. Direct Debit details are collected through GoCardless during setup.

How does pricing work?

There is one plan at £9.50 per unit per month (no VAT). A unit is one separately recorded home in the block, such as a flat or apartment. The subscription scales with the number of units rather than the number of resident or committee accounts.

Can the committee export its records?

Permitted users can export members, meetings, works, events, communications, financial records, and document bundles for local records or a future handover.

What if the product does not fit the way our committee works?

Contact us through the support centre or by email. We can help with the current product and welcome feature requests that show where resident-led committees need a better way to work. Requests are reviewed for future improvements, although submitting one does not guarantee a particular change or delivery date.
